Origin · Kyoto, weekly
Most coffee subscriptions ship you the bean. We ship you the field. Each box arrives Tuesday with two letters: one from the farm — translated, in the farmer's own words — and one from us, on water, grind, and the rest you're already curious about.
The coffee inside is single-origin, picked within the prior three weeks, roasted the morning of dispatch. We send only what we'd brew at home. If a lot doesn't meet the cup, we skip the week and refund — never a substitute.
Tell us how you brew (V60, Aeropress, espresso, immersion). We pick a lot that matches and ships only what fits the method.
250g of coffee + the field letter + a brewing note for the lot. Postal, not courier — slower, calmer, and the package looks like it deserves a knife.
Or whenever. We bias the lot toward your preferred method — but the letter holds dose, ratio, and water temperature if you'd rather read than guess.
After the first month, pause, change methods, or stay. The letter keeps coming as long as you do. No charge to pause — we'd rather you skip than churn.
¥1,800/wk, billed monthly. Pause anytime — no charge, no email. Letters in English or Japanese; pick at signup.
